MORE INFORMATION:

The resources contained in Section 1 [Let’s TELL a Story!] will assist your students to produce their own oral narrative in the form of a puppet show.

Oral storytelling is a fantastic way to develop narrative knowledge and skills. By communicating their story orally, young learners are not restricted by their writing skills and are able to let their creativity and imagination run wild!

Your students will learn about narrative structure, characters and settings as they interact with the beautiful puppets and backdrops included in this pack.

The resources contained in Section 2 [Let’s WRITE a Story!] will assist your students to produce their own written narrative using a range of visual prompts to inspire creativity and imagination.

Visual prompts are a fantastic way to support your students during writing lessons. Many young writers experience difficulty choosing a topic to write about. This ‘writer’s block’ can result in children becoming disenchanted with storytelling.

In Section 2 your students will be guided through the idea generation process as they interact with character, setting and object cards.
